Dad, you were and will always be my inspiration.

Every daughter is her dad’s princess—

and I was yours.

You filled me with love, care, moral values,

the freedom to breathe, to think,

to boldly take my own decisions.

You gave us everything without us asking.

You never let us walk on rocks,

never let us struggle for what we wanted.

Your love was unconditional.

From nurturing us to your last breath,

you lived by example,

teaching lessons of life every single day.

How can I forget your cancer phase?

You fought like a warrior till your last breath.

Thirty-one cycles of chemotherapy,

with ulcers, numbness, neuropathy—

yet you never gave up.

You stood strong as a pillar for your daughters,

never letting emotions take over your mind,

always carrying that million-dollar smile.

You were a gem,

a great human being,

a doctor who loved his family

and worshipped his work.

Even cancer couldn’t stop you—

you continued healing others

till your very last day.

I witnessed it all—

your silence, your strength, your fight.

From December 2020 till 10th July 2022,

you lived with courage

and left with dignity.

We, your daughters, are blessed,

proud to be forever known

as Dr. S. P. Jha’s daughters.

Your love is engraved in our souls,

your smile in our hearts.
